Land Conservation and the Equestrian Community

Our trail systems not only provide opportunities for hiking and wildlife observation but also serve as vital resources for the equestrian community. Horseback riding fosters a deep connection with the land while promoting health, recreation, and outdoor enjoyment. By conserving land and maintaining trails, we create lasting benefits—protecting ecosystems, strengthening community, and ensuring that riders, hikers, and all who love the outdoors can continue to experience the beauty and tranquility of our preserved landscapes.

Equestrians watch for the WLT Ride for Open Space in the fall.

These organizations compliment the work of  land trusts here in our state and across the country:

Help ensure that our properties remain healthy and our boundary lines well marked. Hike, bushwhack, and explore in beautiful areas, often where few people visit.
